Please join us at the “Night at the Depot” on September 23rd, from 5-8 pm in the Historic Denver & Rio Grande railroad Depot.  The Depot is currently the home of the Montrose County Historical Museum at 21 N. Rio Grande Ave.  This special night will highlight the preservation of the depot with special displays highlighting the significance of the depot when it opened in 1912, along with a meet and greet of the local preservation board members, there will be a special walking tour of the historically designated buildings on the west side of the main street. Elaine Hale Jones and George Decker both area historians will be at the depot with copies of their current books. Public Presentation

   Montrose County Historical Society is proud to present "History of the Cashin Mine" – Ken Sloan, Southwestern Colorado geology, archaeology and mining expert and author.


The program starts at 7:00 pm.

Admission is free, the public is welcome.
